Welcome to Meadowlake Ranch

Located Just 15 minutes west of Tulsa, Oklahoma in the heart of former Indian Territory, Meadowlake Ranch features over 1,000 acres of scenic rolling hills, spring-fed lakes, gentle open prairies and old growth forests.  The main ranch is 350 acres w/ 700 acres of leased land nearby that we use primarily for hunting.

 

LODGING

LAKESIDE LOG CABINS* - Feature a corner fireplace and romantic whirlpool tub for two.  In both the B&B and Dude Ranch you may choose your style of cabin.  The lakeside cabins also feature a king-size bed, queen-size futon or sleeper sofa, TV w/ DVD and kitchenette (sleeps four).

BLUFF-TOP CABIN* - Features a large patio w/ two person hot tub overlooking panoramic view of Tulsa skyline.  It's built into the lower level of the ranch shop and features a private master bedroom, a separate bedroom area w/ twin bunk beds, full kitchen, dining area, modern bath, living room w/ a king size futon, TV w/ DVD, large patio w/ a two person hot tub overlooking five private lakes and a view of the Tulsa skyline (sleeps six).

INDIAN TEEPEES* - Our Indian teepees were made by the same company who made the teepees for "Dances With Wolves".  Teepees are for adventurous folks who like to camp out, but still want the convenience of private, modern baths next door w/ running water, flushable toilets and hot showers.   Our teepees are set in the woods, just above ground level on solid concrete platforms.  If you want to be close to nature, this is camping out like the Indians did, but modernized a bit.  Each teepee has a chiminea for an evening fire and padded cots.  Bring your own bedding, i.e., sleeping bag & pillow (sleeps six).

B&B & DUDE RANCH

BED & BREAKFAST* - Get away without having to go away...  Enjoy a romantic 'B&B' retreat in one of our picturesque lakeside log cabins.  Recharge your batteries... slow down and smell the flowers... and most importantly, spend time together.

    Meadowlake Ranch is the perfect getaway, secluded but not isolated, close to town but away from the fray. Relax in a shaded   

    hammock, grill a steak on your patio and enjoy the scenic surroundings.   You can sleep in and enjoy a leisurely continental

    breakfast, or for a small added fee join us for a hot country breakfast in the lodge.

DUDE RANCH* - Savor the flavor of a real old west 'Dude Ranch' vacation. 

    You and your family will stay in your choice of a private lakeside log cabin, a bluff-top cabin or Indian teepee.  Let the

    songbirds and sounds of nature gently awaken you from one of the best night's sleep you've had in a long 

    time.   On a ranch, the animals come first.  If you're an early riser you can help us feed the horses, goats, mule, dogs, peacock,

    pheasants, quail and any other critters that wander in.  After we feed the animals, we feed the guests. 

    Your day starts with a big ol' country breakfast, then we head up to the stables to saddle our horses for a morning trail

    ride.  After that, we will throw tomahawks, shoot a bow & arrow and rope a straw steer. 

    After lunch, you can try your hand at fishing, canoeing, swimming or just lazing in the hammocks listening to the sweet

    serenade of our resident songbirds.  Some guests even like to try their hand at being a ranch hand... building fences, training

    horses, planting trees and other ranch chores.  Working the ranch is NOT required, but you're welcome to pitch in if you want to.* 

    How about a grilled BBQ buffalo burger for supper?  Or one of a series of sumptuous meals we prepare for you.  Save room

    for a 'light' dessert... like marshmallows roasted over an open campfire in our lakeside firepit, under a neverending sea of stars. 

    Next morning we'll saddle up and head for the open trail.  After your ride, we'll mosey over to the gun range where you can

    try your hand at shooting a lever action rifle and single action pistol just like the guns of the old west, or we'll go on a hayride or try

    our hand at shooting life-size foam animal targets in our 3-D archery range.  Targets include a mountain lion, turkey, wild boar, 12

    point buck, raccoon, coyote and you can even climb into a boat and shoot an alligator in the creek.

DAY TRIPS* - Live nearby?  No time for an overnight stay?  Just passin' through?   We offer Dude for a Day, Ranch Hand for a Day, Trail rides, Fishing, Hiking & Biking, Canoeing, Pistol & Rifle Shooting, Tomahawk Lessons, Bow & Arrow Lessons, 3-D Archery Range, Straw Calf Roping, Picnicking, Hayrides, Wildlife & Birdwatching and more!  (Certain activities may be available by the hour, half day or full day).

WEDDINGS & RECEPTIONS

WEDDINGS... RECEPTIONS... BACHELOR & BACHELORETTE PARTIES... SHOWERS... REHEARSALS... DINNERS... HONEYMOONS* - Let us help you plan your wedding or other special event.   Formal or informal, indoor or outdoor, no activities at all or a ranch full of fun, including tractor and horsedrawn hayrides, horsedrawn carriage and wagon rides, trail rides, pistol and rifle shooting, tomahawk lessons, bow & arrow shooting, straw calf roping, hiking, nature trails and MUCH more.

    Rent the whole ranch!  Lots of couples want to have a really private event so they rent the whole ranch... all the cabins & tipis, the

    lodge and patios and even the events.  You can dance into the night and your family and friends in the wedding party can stay in the

    cabins and tipis.  We can even arrange for a nice breakfast and a host of fun, ranch activities the next day.

HUNTING & FISHING

HUNTING* - Meadowlake Ranch features deer, duck, dove, turkey.  We offer deer gun, deer black powder, deer bow, duck & goose, dove as well as shotgun & bow turkey hunts.  Above hunts are subject to state and federal regs, seasons and harvest limits. 

    Pheasant, chukar and quail seasons are SIX MONTHS LONG.  The state of Oklahoma has designated Meadowlake Ranch

    as an upland game preserve.  Our season runs from the first of October to the first of April and we have NO HARVEST LIMITS.  

    These are release hunts w/ well-fed, hard flying birds in natural cover. 

    Training hunts & Non-guided hunts - Bring your own dog... (up to four hunters afield - pheasant, chukar & quail). 

    Fully guided hunts - 'Field' hunts over dogs (up to four hunters afield- pheasand, chukar & quail).

                                      'Driven' hunts w/ blockers instead of dogs (up to 8 hunters afield - pheasant & chukar only). 

FISHING* - Our lake record largemouth bass is 13 lbs, 12 oz.  Meadowlake Ranch has several spring-fed lakes that regularly produce 8-10 pound largemouth bass as well as smallmouth bass, crappie and catfish.  ALL fishing is catch & release, artificial lures only.  We furnish small boats and canoes w/ paddles or you can bring your own troll motor and battery if you prefer.

    *Participation in ranch activities and ranch chores is not guaranteed.  Some activities are seasonal and may be modified, or disallowed due to age, physical

    size, ability and skill level.  If you have concerns about your ability to participate in a particular activity, please tell us at time of booking, because once the space is

    reserved we cannot offer refunds for no-shows, cancellations or non-participation for any reason.
